Actually, Miss Hyland plays Miranda, with her massive, crying-out-for-bangs forehead taking on the role of Irina, in what looks like an even more than usually needlessly complex episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
a prerequisite of the dual role was a large head. miss hyland did a beautiful job...why, i'm surprised her skull didn't simply blow up with all that dialog to retain.
There's more than a touch of Joan van Ark about her - Joan before the horrendous surgery, of course.
Always had a soft spot for Ms. Hyland. Her short stint as Joan Bradford on Eight is Enough really got to me. I was very invested in the show (give me a break, I was 12) and was a bit wrecked when she died.

One could take out advertising space on her forehead.
ReplyDeleteWasn't this young John Travolta's "older woman" back in the 1970's ?
ReplyDeleteOh, there's a touch of Joan Van Ark about all of us, really, when you think about it, no?
ReplyDeleteand FlowerBell - yup; she was his real-life Moment by Moment.
