...it must be the lovely things dear TJB is saying about the Café over at Stirred Straight Up. I can't tell you how tickled I am to be included in his masterly round-up of All Blogs Fabulous, nor how lovely it feels to be in such exalted company as MJ, Jason, Donna Lethal, and so many others - even if he did let Peenee and Joe tag along.
All of it is, in a way, a well-deserved tribute to The Mother of Us All, Thombeau, and the home from home that is Fabulon. As I've observed to TJB, together we form a kind of digital Algonquin round table for the 21st century, albeit one perhaps a tad more focused on glamour, nostalgia, and pecs even than Alexander Woollcott. And that's saying something.
Love fest!
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted to be a part of your digital round table. In fact, I'm under it right now!
Blushing vegetables, you say?
Has your cucumber gone crimson?
Well since he started it, I suppose that means Thombeau is John Peter Toohey.
ReplyDeleteMuscato, seems to me you should be Robert Benchley.
JoeToHell and Peenee seem like the shoe-ins for George S. Kaufman and Alexander Woollcott.
Now let's start the catfight over who gets to be Dorothy Parker.
Didn't I read somewhere that Woollcott's preference was for chocolate? Which somehow makes it all perfect.
