I want a remake of A Little Night Music (to replace the dreaded memory of the horrific Liz Taylor version from 1977) with Dear Shirley as Madame Armfeldt. She would be perfection in the part.
I have to say I've never thought of her in a Continental Mode, but you just may be right. Meryl as Desirée? Kevin Kline as Egerman? You might just have a picture there...

ReplyDeleteBut we love Shirley anyway. And I'm personally praying that she makes a return to the musical stage in some form or fashion.
