Birthday Adorability

I'm not, I have to confess, much of a fan of the smaller set in general. Children are the sort of thing best left at home, unlike well-behaved terriers. Even so, I have to give a Gold Star for creativity, with extra cuteness points, for the very inventive community in India that this week celebrated the 139th anniversary of the birth of Mohandas Gandhi with a tiny-tots lookalike contest.

And a special shout-out to the mothers who decided that the way to approximate, on a three-year-old, the Mahatma's chrome-dome was to slather their offspring in what appears to be either dough or mud.

For my money, though, little Master Pink Plastic Bag, second from left, takes the prize. I think it's the cotton-ball moustache and tufts.

  1. It’s nice to see the slaves of other countries having fun. I suppose it gives them a nice little break from picking used dirty hypodermic needles out of stacks of syringes at the sweat factories.
