Flores, Flores...
This has been the kind of week that has made me, today, want to do nothing much more than look over pictures of flowers that I've taken.

Swiss Mister
Some day, I want Swiss Guards. Most of the Vatican is just too overdone for my tastes, but their uniforms? Just about perfect, and when we visited, they were about the only thing that Mr. Muscato and I agreed on; the particular guard snapped here was especially memorable...Funny how they're all such elegant specimens themselves, too. Say what you will about the Mother Church's hierarchy, but they know a strapping young Swiss when they see one.

Unfortunate Fashions
Seen vacationing here in northern Italy, Pope B16 looks relaxed and at ease.
Unfortunately, he also looks like a contestant awaiting her turn on the catwalk for the wedding gown portion of a Gertrude Stein Lookalike Pageant. Well, they have one for Hemingway - why not a little equal time for a far greater writer?

Image du Jour: All Nude!
Great art can be so inspiring...
This is a snap from the museum on the Palatine Hill in Rome. In the words of the divine Countess de Lave, "Have you noticed the play of his muscles? Musical! Musical!"

As should we all be - infatuated, that is, not applied...
