Why Don't You...

...Stay limber by lounging in the lotus position on your bearskin rug? It works like a charm for Mexican superstar María Félix!

Actually, I'm rather entranced by La Félix's taste in decorating - her fetching drawing room would appear to be a unique blend of Louis Something, Pre-Columbiana, and Self Worship, all brought together as one by the bearskin. That's a style I can identify with.

South of the [Diva] Border

Still on the road, darlings, but I thought you might enjoy this quite extraordinary tribute to the tempestuous goddess of Mexican film, the late, great María Félix . She runs through the whole canon of temperament in just five minutes - languishing, sulking, slapping, smoking, Making Entrances, and, especially, holding for that lingering close-up.

Special bonus points to anyone who can tell me what the truly demented music is (it sounds like a disco remix of the Prospero's Books score sung by Klaus Nomi, but surely that's too good to be true).
