This mashup of Dinah Washington and "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" somehow only intensifies the superb melancholy of Vivien Leigh's performance, distilling it into a Kabuki-like study of anomie.

You really need to get out of my head. Not only did you pip me to the post with birthday wishes for Eydie and Myrna, but I've had a post re: "Mrs. Stone" drafted for about a week, awaiting a properly maudlin moment to spring it on an unsuspecting public!
