Friday Frolic, Poolside Edition

Even in these trying times, can it be anything other than a good thing to head into the weekend with a little eye candy?

Here we see noted Egyptian physical-culture enthusiast Ahmed Hamouda, engaged in what is clearly a highly positive and nurturing mentorship relationship with a younger protégé, one Sameh el Sabaie. Heartwarming, really, isn't it? Although I must confess that in general I fall into the Janet Weiss camp on the subject of too many muscles, one really must admit that from time to time such pulchritude does have its charms.

I hope you have some festive Easter plans; between my continuing pulmonary nuisances and Mr. Muscato's dratted work schedule, I fear that we shall be very quiet indeed. Besides, for the moment such seasonal excesses as the beloved Cadbury Creme Eggs are off the menu, so I shall be relying on the memory of Easters past, when the parents had the habit of hiding Easter baskets almost as rainbow hued as those on view above (and frankly, rather more capacious) all around the house. I suppose I could always throw a little diet-approved cocoa into the usual weekend green smoothie, but somehow it's not quite the same thing.

  1. Darling, wishing you all the best for a delightful Easter - however difficult that may be considering the dearth of Cadbury Creme Eggs and chocolate in your future. May the refreshing breath of a new spring fill those belabored lungs anew and your life, once again, abound with joy, wit, blogging -- and chocolates. Lots and lots of chocolate!
Happy Easter, from an adoring follower.

    1. Thank you, Caro! The antibiotics do seem to be kicking in, and it really is lovely that spring is springing...

  2. Could you just slather these fellows in chocolate and lick them?

    1. Certainly sounds like more fun than an egg roll, I can tell you that...
