I just stumbled on Wikipedia's article on fascinators that noted, with an apparently straight face, "A hatinator combines features of a hat and a fascinator." And now here's the perfect illustration of it.
I refuse to believe in the concept of a hatinator until I see one worn by a member of one of the ruling families of Europe at the level of the Princess Royal or above.
Actually, I refuse to believe in almost anything until it is endorsed by the Princess Royal; it simplifies things to a remarkable degree.
