Well she had a good, long, amazing life but still it's tough to see the legends go. She left a lot of great work behind. I think I'll go watch my favorite of her films, Woman's World, in tribute.
The light around here is a darned sight dimmer today. The stars are shining much brighter in the heavens today.
In addition to a grand career on screen and stage, she managed to raise three children who all appear to have grown up quite well - no mean feat for any parent and admirable while contending with the glare of stardom.
Who's left? Olivia. Maureen O'Hara. Doris Day. Kirk Douglas. The indestructible Luise R. Damn few.
The saddest news of all. Jx

ReplyDeleteIt does hurt; but talk about a life well lived.
